[Vienna, Virginia] – MicroHealth LLC has been honored with the 2024 Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) Contractor of the Year award by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU). The company was recognized for its performance and contributions to the HHS’s Office of Pharmacy Affairs 340B Drug Pricing Program Information System (OPAIS), which facilitates steep discounts from 800+ drug manufacturers to 50,000+ healthcare providers.

“We believe that this award is a well-deserved honor, reflecting the hard work, dedication, and innovative spirit that MicroHealth LLC embodies,” said a representative from the HHS OSDBU Awards Program. “As a recipient of this esteemed award, MicroHealth joins a select group of companies that represent the pinnacle of achievement within the government contracting industrial base.”

The SDB Contractor of the Year award is presented to a business that demonstrates excellence through quality goods and services that support the HHS and contribute to the agency’s objectives. MicroHealth LLC was selected for this award because of their work delivering seamless Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services for the Health Resources and Services Administration’s (HRSA) 340B Drug Pricing Program, including server and application upkeep, vulnerability resolution, real-time monitoring, production support, and tier-3 assistance. They also provide Development, Modernization, and Enhancement (DME) services.

“MicroHealth has been proudly supporting the work on OPAIS over the years,” adds Chief Operating Officer Claude Hines, who was on hand to receive the award on MicroHealth’s behalf. “As a company full of current and former docs, nurses, and healthcare professionals, we’re thankful to show how IT can be put to use in ways that can help improve healthcare outcomes for many.”

The award was presented to MicroHealth LLC during the HHS OSDBU Small Business National Training Conference April 2. The ceremony was held at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Roybal Campus in Atlanta and attended by leaders in the healthcare sector, government officials, and small business representatives.
