Colonel Lamb will be using his experience and expertise from the field as MicroHealth’s Business Analyst.
Colonel Lamb’s extensive experience in the military health care system is rooted in real world application. He was Battalion Commander (CEO) of the 32nd Medical Logistics Battalion, stationed at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. There, Lamb prepared and deployed more than six separate medical logistics detachments of trained and ready soldiers for two simultaneous operations in the Balkans in support of Bosnia and Kosovo. Subsequently, he was promoted to Chief of Logistics of the Womack Army Medical Center at Ft. Bragg. At Womack, Lamb directed all facets of logistics operations for a 200 bed, full service, and acute care hospital with an annual budget of over $80M. Lamb was then able to develop and lead the successful implementation and upgrade of the information system from TAMMIS to DMLSS for automating medical supply support to more than 460 customers, which improved information technology and customer support both at home and abroad during deployments.
Lamb’s work at Ft Bragg made him the perfect candidate for deployment to Heidelberg, Germany and Iraq as the Deputy Commander (COO) for the 30th Medical Brigade. Lamb directed staff support to 34 subordinate units and 3000 Soldiers in support of combat HSS to 150,000 U.S Soldiers and coalition forces across the Iraq Theater of Operations. In this capacity, Lamb supported deployment and automation upgrades which increased and improved electronic documentation for the Medical Combat Casualty Care System (MC4) from one to six Combat Support Hospitals and more than 24 separate clinics.
Since returning Stateside again, Colonel Lamb has had the privilege of serving as a Deputy Joint Staff Surgeon on the Joint Staff of the Pentagon in Washington, DC, where he advised the Chairman, the Joint Staff Surgeon and the Director for Logistics, J4 on all matters of providing effective, efficient and rapidly deployable Joint Health Service Support and Force Health Protection capabilities across the full spectrum of military operations. These advisements led to direct input for superior support of Global Operations, including on the battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan. With implementation of Lamb’s advice, the continued improvements in all areas of medical support have helped to maintain the highest survival rates (95%) in history.
Most recently, Colonel Lamb served as the Commander (CEO) of Martin Army Community Hospital at FT. Benning, Georgia, the Army’s largest Community Hospital. The hospital is an 80 bed hospital that includes 14 Clinics and 47 outlying facilities totaling 900,000 square feet and spanning over three states. Lamb also directed the delivery of health and healthcare to an eligible beneficiary population of over 94,000 with an enrollment of more than 55,000 beneficiaries on a daily basis while increasing enrollment and reducing costs.
